Welcoming the New Year: Our Research Group Embarks on a New Chapter in 2025!
As 2025 begins, our research group embraced tradition by greeting the first rays of the New Year atop Yuelu Mountain, gathering at the iconic Aiwan Pavilion. With the dawn of the year bringing hope and determination, our group steps confidently into a promising new chapter.
Remarkable Research Achievements
Reflecting on 2024, it was an unforgettable year of accomplishments. The research group made significant strides in scientific publications, high-impact projects, and talent cultivation. We led the college in high-level paper publications, marking a new milestone in academic influence and research strength.
Outstanding Talent Development
Doctoral Achievements: Xie Xing, a doctoral student, was awarded the 2024 University President’s Scholarship for Excellence, becoming the group’s second recipient of this prestigious honor (valued at ¥116,000 annually).
Master’s Awards: Master’s student Hu Biqi won the 2024 National Scholarship for Graduate Students (¥20,000), while Chen Junying and Gao Miaoxia received the Gewu Scholarship and the Goodix Technology Scholarship, respectively, bringing further recognition to our group.
Undergraduate Success: Li Aijia secured admission to the Master’s program at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, showcasing the group’s undergraduate talent on the international stage.
Young Talent Program: Xie Xuan, a participant in the Young Talent Program, gained admission to the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Additionally, Dr. Liu was honored as a National Outstanding Mentor in the "Young Talent Program’s" 10th Anniversary celebrations, underscoring the group’s influence in foundational education.
Thriving Team Culture
In 2024, the group not only achieved academic breakthroughs but also emphasized team culture. During the exhilarating rafting trip at Huanglong Gorge, members relished the beauty of nature, alleviated stress, and fostered mutual trust and cohesion. This unforgettable experience has become a cherished memory for our team.
A New Chapter in Education
The group also made meaningful contributions to education. On September 28, 2024, Dr. Liu was appointed Vice Principal of Science at the Hunan Normal University Affiliated High School. His leadership brings fresh energy to science education for high school students, nurturing the scientists of tomorrow.
